Iraqi Media Network discusses preparations for the Arab Media Conference with a delegation from the Arab States Broadcasting Union.
The Iraqi Media Network hosted the preparatory meeting for the Fourth Arab Media Conference, scheduled to be held in Baghdad next April.
The Chairman of the Iraqi Media Network, Karim Hammadi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Network, Thaer Al-Ghanimi, Board Member Alan Abdullah, and a number of the network's directors received a delegation from the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), headed by the Union's Director General, Abdul Rahim Suleiman.
The attendees discussed the preparations being made by the Iraqi Media Network for this important event, the conference's agenda, and the invitations extended to participants.
In turn, the Director General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union, Abdul Rahim Suleiman, confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the delegation discussed with the Iraqi Media Network the preparations for the Fourth Arab Conference, which is the first time the conference has been held outside Tunisia." He noted that "the conference will be large and important, with the participation of all Arab countries, Arab and international organizations from around the world, and the United Nations and all its organizations. The conference will discuss the issue of climate change, which is of great importance." He added, "Baghdad will be hosting numerous events, including the Arab Summit, which will be held in May of this year, and media preparations for it were discussed." He continued, "The topic of climate change, which will be the theme of the fourth media conference, was discussed, as were the disasters facing the world and the role of the media in helping citizens raise awareness of climate issues to mitigate the risks."
