Network President

Mr. Karim Hammadi is an Iraqi media personality and writer born in Baghdad in 1969. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences in 1992. He began his media career in the mid-1990s, working as a broadcaster at Radio Republic of Iraq in 1996, then as a broadcaster at Iraqi Satellite TV in 2000. He joined the Iraqi Media Network in 2003 and held several positions, including Director of News and Political Programs Department in 2005, Director of Radio Republic of Iraq in 2008, and Director of Al-Iraqiya News Channel in 2014, in addition to being a member of the "Opinion Committee" according to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in 2008. Mr. Karim Hammadi presented many political talk shows on Al-Iraqiya News Channel, including "Under Two Lines", "Circle of Dialogue", "The Program", "Special Interview", and "Liberation Studio". On March 13, 2024, Mr. Karim Hammadi was appointed as President of the Iraqi Media Network, succeeding Nabil Jasim, and officially began his duties on March 14, 2024. He expressed his gratitude for the trust of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and emphasized the importance of elevating the national and neutral discourse of the network and developing work in its media sectors to be the voice of the state and the citizen. He also announced development plans for all sectors of the network, noting that the Iraqi Media Network represents the Iraqi national identity and journalistic and television heritage, and its responsibility lies in putting the expertise of its employees at the service of the country.
